Tait's Manifesto

I started fighting as an endeavor to explore myself further. To see what self it was I was protecting. Nothing diminishes ego more than training, more than standing before your community and family, risking your face, literally and figuratively.

You don’t look at regular people the same anymore. Fighters share a common respect and bond that stems from work and sacrifice. No one who doesn’t train can understand. You get to live boldly as a person, who has explored motivations and humility in a deep, sometimes dark, way.

Life tastes sweeter than before I began training. I am definitely, without question a better person.

I love more boldly. I shine brighter. I bring more life and love to my interactions.

I am a fighter. If you are not, it is different than it appears. Words can not do it justice.

I am blessed and grateful. I hope I show my appreciation to all those that have formed me into what I am, by fighting well and transcending boundaries of negativity. I am indebted to you all.

I have been blessed in teammates, and am only showing talent they have given me. Left to my own devices, I would never achieve so much.

All my love and thanks to all who have trained me, sweated with me, cried with me, fought with me and bled with me. Smile when you see what you’ve made, fuckers!
